We work to preserve our earth, Pacifica, and the larger community for the benefit of current and future generations. By protecting the environment, conserving resources, and encouraging diversity we strive to create and maintain a strong, vibrant and enduring community.
Diversity
We honor and respect our differences. By appreciating differences, we learn and grow. Diversity of perspectives enriches participatory decision-making and supports sustainability. We encourage diversity through outreach to the larger community.
Affordability
Where possible, we seek a more economic approach to building and maintaining our community. Sharing common facilities and spaces allows us to conserve resources and encourages community. In supporting affordability, we foster economic diversity in Pacifica.
Community
By choosing to live in Pacifica, we demonstrate community. Our physical design encourages relationships. We participate in community decisions and strive for consensus. We endeavor to remain mindful of the good of the whole in addition to individual needs, to maintain connections with each other, and to resolve disagreements. Through sharing physical, social and mental effort we sustain the spirit of Pacifica.
