Pacifica is located in Carrboro, NC. When completed, it will consist of 46 homes, varying in kind from townhouses, to stacked condominiums, to a few detached houses. The townhouse and condo floor plans range from 600sf to 1460sf and have from 1 to 3 bedrooms.
Giles Blunden, President of CCDA (building facilitator) and architect for the project, lives in Arcadia Cohousing, also in Carrboro, which he also helped design. With Resolute as our builder, we began construction in August 2005 and are currently completing the first phase of construction on the south side. The first residents are moving in!
Please explore this website to review site plans, floor plans, community values, etc. We currently have our meetings on the first Sunday of the month from 2pm to 5pm (first half run by the architect, and the other half by the community group). The meetings can take place at the Arcadia Cohousing common house (email us if you need directions), or at Carrboro Town Hall. You are welcome to drop in and meet the group to see how we interact and make decisions using the consensus process.
